What the site collects

  • Property Covered uses that information to record your request, arrange licensed follow-up, compare available insurance options, prevent abuse, and operate the service.
  • The site may use privacy-limited analytics to understand page and quote-flow use. Analytics events exclude names, email addresses, phone numbers, street addresses, property values, and claim details.

Scope

This policy applies to the Property Covered website and quote-request service. Property Covered is operated by Switchboard Risk Technologies Inc.

Information you provide

A quote request may include your name, email address, phone number, business or ownership name, relationship to the property, property address and use, requested coverage, values, current insurance, and loss information.

The form saves the initial request after the contact step. If you continue online, later answers update the same request. The browser may keep an unfinished draft on your device so you can continue the form.

Do not submit Social Security numbers, bank information, medical records, payment-card data, passwords, or documents through the quote form.

Information processed when you browse

Hosting, content-delivery, security, and analytics providers may process an IP address, browser and device details, requested page, referring page, timestamps, campaign parameters, and technical logs.

Property Covered may record quote-flow events such as a page view, completed step, selected route, or successful delivery. Those events use a random quote request ID and bounded property categories. They do not include the customer details listed in the summary above.

How information is used

Property Covered uses quote information to create and update the request in Switchboard, notify the insurance team, respond to you, compare carrier options, prevent duplicate requests, recover a request during an outage, secure the service, and meet legal and recordkeeping duties.

When information may be shared

Switchboard Risk Technologies Inc. and its licensed insurance personnel receive quote requests. Service providers may process information for hosting, security, email delivery, analytics, customer management, and technical operations.

Property Covered may share request information with insurance carriers, wholesalers, program administrators, or other insurance-market participants when needed to seek or service coverage. Those parties decide their own underwriting, privacy, and retention practices.

Information may also be disclosed when law requires it or when disclosure protects people, systems, or legal rights.

Retention

Property Covered keeps quote and business records for the time needed to respond, provide insurance services, prevent duplicate work, meet legal or contractual duties, and resolve disputes. An unfinished browser draft remains on the device until the form clears it or the browser storage is removed.

Security

Property Covered uses access controls, encrypted network connections, server-held credentials, abuse checks, and limited request sizes. No internet transmission or storage system can guarantee complete security.

Your choices

You may stop before submitting the contact step. You may clear an unfinished draft through your browser storage controls. You may ask Property Covered to review a privacy request by emailing [email protected].

Children

Property Covered is intended for adults researching, buying, or managing commercial insurance. The site does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

Changes to this policy
